Four Arizona running legends will be inducted into the Arizona Runner’s Hall of Fame on Nov. 4 at the 3TV Phoenix 10K and Half Marathon. The four will be honored for their significant contributions to the sport of running in the state. The 2012 class is Jesse Owens, Herman Frazier, Lynn Nelson Scott and David Barney.

Now in its 37th year, the 3TV Phoenix 10K and Half Marathon will start and finish near CityScape in downtown Phoenix. The family-friendly community event benefits The Mollen Foundation for the Prevention of Childhood Obesity. This year’s race was selected by USA Track & Field to be the Arizona championship race for the 10K distance. There also will be a half marathon, 5K, The Mollen Mile for youth, and a kid’s 50-yard dash.
