Gabby Walton, a sixth-grader at Kyrene Altadeña Middle School, won the all-around gymnast award at the Phoenix Classic Rock gymnastics meet recently at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Walton took first in three events by scoring a 9.550 on bars, a 9.475 on floor, and a 9.650 on vault. She missed a full sweep by .100 of a point when she scored a 9.075 on the balance beam, taking second.
This is the last meet for Walton for the spring season and her second all-around award for level 4. She will be competing at level 5 in the fall with her team from Gold Medal Gymnastics.
