Desert Vista is looking for a new boys basketball coach after Dave Williams recently stepped down.
Williams, 54, had an interesting four-year run that saw the Thunder win 73 games.
The program lost several players via transfer in recent years and there was off court incidents that led to suspensions, but Williams, who had a 62.4 winning percentage, always managed to push his teams to excel.
Williams told the Arizona Republic he might look to return to the college ranks.
The highlight during the four years was advancing to the Division I state semifinals before losing 49-43 to eventual state champion Corona del Sol.
The job will be posted soon and there should be plenty of quality candidates hoping to take over a program that returns quality players like junior Quincy Taylor, junior Brandon Clarke, and freshman Caleb Simmons.
