The Lucha Libre USA Mexican Wrestling action is coming to Phoenix’s Grand Canyon University Arena on Sunday.

Lucha Libre USA, the uber-popular Mexican wrestling league, includes a lineup of mini stars, Luchastars and Chicastars battling it out in a high-flying, acrobatic, politically-fueled, family friendly competition.

But there’s also a political twist. This year’s tour stars the unmasked and unapologetic RJ Brewer, who claims to be the son of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, and vocally opposes illegal immigration and Senate Bill 1070.

As the super villain of the tour, RJ riles up predominately the Hispanic crowd by vocalizing his love for Arizona, support of SB 1070, and hatred towards illegal immigrants during the show, allowing for an even greater competitive spirit in the arena and creating a political narrative that the fan base loves.
