Defending champ and five-time Major winner Yani Tseng is among the players committed to the 2013 RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, set to tee off March 12-17 at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

Tseng, the current Rolex No. 1 player in the world, already has 15 career wins in just five LPGA Tour seasons, and she became the youngest player (male or female) to win five Majors after winning the Women’s British Open in 2011.

Joining Tseng in the star-studded field are Paula Creamer, a nine-time LPGA Tour winner with one Major win under her belt; Stacy Lewis, the 2012 Rolex Player of the Year, who has five LPGA Tour wins including one major victory; and fan-favorite Michelle Wie, who has two career LPGA Tour victories.

The current field includes eight of the Top-10 players on the Rolex World Golf Rankings, 46 of the Top-50 from the 2012 money list, while 43 Major Championship victories are represented by players in the field. A field of 132 players will vie for the $1.5 million purse and the $225,000 first place check.

Along with World No. 1 Tseng, the highest ranked players on the Rolex Rankings in the field include Na Yeon Choi (2), Stacy Lewis (3), Inbee Park (4), Jiyai Shin (6), Suzann Pettersen (7), So Yeon Ryu (8) and Ai Miyazato (9).

Other notables in the field include 15-time LPGA winner and Valley resident Cristie Kerr; 2011 RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup champion Karrie Webb; eight-time Major winner Julie Inkster and five-time LPGA winner Brittany Lincicome.
