The Arizona Diamondbacks announced their 2013 regular-season schedule today, highlighted by the season opener and finale at Chase Field, a Memorial Day doubleheader, home games on Mother’s Day and Labor Day, Interleague visits by the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays and 27 of the final 33 games against National League West opponents.

The D-backs’ 16th season will open and close at Chase Field for the seventh time in franchise history. The D-backs will open at Chase Field on April 1 at 6:40 p.m. against the St. Louis Cardinals and will conclude the regular season with a three-game homestand against the Washington Nationals, Sept. 27-29.

New in 2013, Interleague play will be consistent throughout the entire season as the D-backs open with a three-game road series against the New York Yankees for the team’s first trip to the new Yankee Stadium, April 16-18. The D-backs will host the Rangers for a doubleheader on Memorial Day, May 27, and travel to Texas for a two-game set, May 29-30. It will be the second time the D-backs have hosted a doubleheader with the first played on Aug. 22, 2012 against the Miami Marlins.

The team will then hit the road for a two-game series in Tampa Bay, July 30-31, before shipping off to Boston for a three-game set at Fenway Park, Aug. 2-4. The team will return home to host the Rays, Aug. 6-7, and the Orioles, Aug. 12-14, for the first time since June 2007. The D-backs will close out Interleague play against Toronto with a three-game set starting on Labor Day, Sept. 2-4.
