The falls season just about wraps up this weekend.
The swim and dive state championships start on Friday at 1:30 p.m. for diving and 2:30 p.m. for swimming at Skyline Aquatic Center, 845 S. Crismon Road in Mesa. The finals start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for students with school ID, and children 5 are free.
The state cross country meet is Saturday at Cave Creek Golf Course, 15202 N. 19th Ave. in Phoenix.
Division I boys is at 9:45 p.m. and Division I girls is at 10:45 p.m. The Division IV girls is at 11:20 a.m. and the Division IV boys is at 12:30 p.m.
If the Desert Vista girls volleyball team wins on Thursday evening (results too late for this edition) then the Thunder would play in the state semifinals on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Mesquite High with the championship game on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. at Mesquite.
