Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 U.S. Army/Tornados/Haas Automation Chevrolet, has teamed up with Phoenix International Raceway to create "Troop Newman" - a special program designed to honor men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces for Veteran's Day this November. The program, part of PIR's Salute to Military Families initiative, will send an expected 500 military troops and their families to the Kobalt Tools 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Nov. 14 - Veteran's Day Weekend - free of charge.
All race fans and military supporters that make a donation to the Troop Newman program will be entered to win a private meet-and-greet session with Newman during the November event weekend and will be recognized on Phoenix International Raceway's website. Donors also have the chance to receive additional incentives including a photo op in Gatorade Victory Lane with a donation of $50 or more and an exclusive Phoenix International Raceway patriotic hat with a donation of $75 or more.
Race fans can help send a military member and their family to NASCAR at PIR by visiting www.phoenixraceway.com/troopnewman or by calling 866-408-RACE (7223).
