When the individual state tennis tournaments resume next Friday, the Ahwatukee Foothills area will be well-represented in the Division I tournaments.

In the boys event, Mountain Pointe's Nathan Keso and Samuel Wang and Desert Vista's Bryan Wong advanced to the round of 32 in singles action. Desert Vista doubles teams of Daniel Chen and Connor Whigham and Karl Leclerc and Mohammad Saleem are still alive as is the Pride duo of Mark Karlsrud and Monty Roth.

In the girls tourney, only singles players remain as Mountain Pointe's Mae Maiefski and Desert Vista's Kathryn Hunnicutt won their first two matches.
