The Mountain Pointe boys basketball program will be headed up by Aaron Windler, the school announced Monday.
Windler resigned from his post at Chaparral before the 2011-2012 season, reportedly because of a situation with the parents. He was 60-28 in three seasons at Chaparral.
Others who interviewed and impressed were Pride assistant coach Hosea Graham, Goodyear Desert Edge coach Joe Babinski and Fountain Hills coach Matt Johnson. But Windler had a great interview and had a letter of recommendation from Arizona State coach Herb Sendek.
