The Aspire 12N-Black traveled to Colorado this past weekend going 9-0 to take home the gold and the bid to the Junior Olympic Nationals this summer in Atlanta, Ga. This is the first time any team from Arizona has won in the 12-and-under division and it came from a 4-year-old club that has grown from two to 16 teams.

Aspire Volleyball club is located in south Tempe and fields girls teams from the 12's to 18's division, and starting in 2010 five boys teams in the 16's and 18's divisions. The club's players come from the East Valley, including west Chandler, Ahwatukee Foothills, Gilbert and south Tempe.

Prior to attending the Crossroads tournament, the Aspire 12N-Black team had a record of 17-0 against other 12-and-under teams across the state. They have now improved their record to 26-0. There are 47 registered Arizona teams in this division that compete in seven tournaments from January through May.

The tournament in Atlanta is June 24 to July 4.
