The Ahwatukee Pirates 11 U AAA Baseball Program will be hosting tryouts Aug. 4-5 at Sunray Park from 9:45 a.m. to noon for the upcoming club baseball season, which is September through February.

Arrive at 9:30 a.m. There are three open spots that the team is trying to fill prior to the baseball tournament Sept. 22-23. Players should wear their full practice uniform.

There will be a intrasquad scrimmage from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

The Pirates are looking for boys 11 and under who are willing to learn the game of baseball and want to play at a very competitive high level. The 11U Pirates Organization’s primary goal is to prepare the boys for playing at the next level of high school and beyond.

If interested in joining or wanting to find out specifics on the program, contact Michael Mettner at (602) 696-1380 or mmettner@cox.net.
