The Checkered Flag Run, which corresponds with the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Phoenix International Raceway, will launch with a kickoff reception featuring live entertainment on March 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Blvd. in Chandler.

March 3 will begin with a ride to PIR to enjoy the NASCAR event. Riders will start from three separate locations, including Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport and Radisson Hotel Phoenix Chandler, and will arrive at the Phoenix International Raceway by 9 a.m. Reserved parking will be available for participating motorcycles.

Participants will have the opportunity to enter a motorcycle competition judged by legendary motorcycle builders Paul Yaffe, Brian Klock, Dave Perewitz and John Shope, with cash prizes totaling $10,000 as well as the opportunity to participate in the Gatorade Victory Lane celebration that includes the awarding of the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 champion's trophy to the race winner.

Tickets to the 2012 Checkered Flag Run can be purchased until March 1 by calling 1-866-498-RACE (7223) or through www.checkeredflagrun.com. After March 1, tickets are available at the gate at PIR. One ticket allows access to all events, including the NASCAR Nationwide Series Race.
