C.J. Cron was selected to the MLB Futures Game as the Mountain Pointe graduate continues to be held in high regard as one of the Los Angeles Angels' top prospects.

Mountain Pointe graduate C.J. Cron had his first season of professional baseball where his final numbers weren’t eye popping.

That’s changed this offseason as the Anaheim Angels’ No. 2 prospect clearly has found his stroke in the Arizona Fall League.

Through 16 games, Cron was hitting .400 (26 for 65) with 13 runs scored, five doubles, a triple and four home runs with 16 RBIs for the Mesa Solar Sox.

Cron had solid numbers during the regular season.

He hit .274 with 14 home runs and 83 RBIs in 134 games in his first season at the Double-A level.
