The Mountain Pointe boys golf team will be having tryouts for the 2012 season starting Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Ahwatukee Country Club, 12432 S. 48th St.
Since it is the first day of school, parents and students are encouraged to contact Coach Tony Ramseyer prior to Aug. 6 to get more information about tryouts.
The requirements for trying out are: the athlete must have an equipment card from the athletic office the first day of tryouts (this includes a physical prior to tryouts), proper golf attire must be worn during tryouts at all times (this includes a collared shirt, golf shorts or slacks, no jeans or long baggy shorts are allowed), and your own set of golf clubs.
