Black headed to South Carolina Beaufort

Desert Vista graduate Maggie Black has signed with the University of South Carolina Beaufort to continue her golf career.

Black is transferring from Chandler-Gilbert Community College and will be a junior for the NAIA program.

Black played golf for two years at CGCC and earned NJCAA All-American status both years. She earned her associate degree in accounting and graduated with a 3.90 GPA, receiving top academic honors.

USCB women’s golf Alexis Bennett knows she is getting someone ready to work.

“Maggie’s apparent work ethic and desire to be coached will be great assets to the team,” Bennett said. “As part of my first recruiting class at USCB, Maggie’s maturity and leadership will help us carry on the legacy of success.”
