The Ahwatukee Cup, the annual high school boys golf tournament that opens the season, will be Aug. 20-22 at The Duke, The Foothills, and the Ahwatukee Country Club.
The 12-team field includes Desert Vista, Mountain Pointe and usual golf powerhouses like Brophy and Red Mountain.
The event serves as a gauge of what teams are going to be title contenders throughout the season.
