Ahwatukee Foothills PONY Baseball will hold registration for its spring season on January 15 and 22 at Sweet Tomatoes restaurant at the southwest corner of Ray Road and 48th Street from 9 a.m. - noon both days.

The league provides an opportunity for baseball players of all ages to participate in a community league, and accepts players from ages 4-14 in five age groups. Families may also register and pay on line at the league's web site: www.ponybaseballaz.com.

Player evaluations for the Mustang (ages 9-10) and Bronco (ages 11-12) divisions will take place February 12 at Akimel a-Al Middle School on Liberty Lane beginning at 8 a.m. All players who register for the league will make a team. Players in the Shetland (ages 4-6) and Pinto (age 7-8) are placed on teams and do not have an evaluation.

League fees are $95 for Shetland Division; $110 for Pinto; $135 for Mustang and Bronco; and $150 for Pony (ages 13-14) and include team jersey, hat and matching socks, as well as field access and umpires fees. Families with three or more players receive a $25 per player discount on their registration fees.

Practices for all of the league's approximately 40 teams begin the week of February 14 and league games will begin Saturday March 26.
