South Mountain Community College (SMCC) presents "Burgers & Basketball," a celebration of its men's basketball team, winners of its first 17 games this season and for two months ranked as the No. 1 NJCAA Division II team in the nation. It is scheduled for Feb. 9 at SMCC Gym, 7050 S. 24th St., in Phoenix.
Everyone is invited to enjoy a hamburger dinner provided by the SMCC Student Life Office for $5 per person, with proceeds going to benefit the SMCC Athletics Department. Door prizes and giveaways will be featured throughout the evening, culminating in the SMCC men's and women's basketball teams competing against Cochise College.
