Both basketball programs at Horizon Honors made the Class 2A basketball posteason with action starting Thursday.
The boys team (13-10) earned a 15th seed in the 24-team field and takes on No. 18 Pinon at St. Johns High with a 5:15 p.m. tip-off. The winner advances to take on No. 2 Valley Christian, which had a first-round bye, on Saturday with the time and location to be announced.
The girls team (13-10) grabbed the 16th seed and faces No. 17 Arizona Lutheran at Northwest Christian High in Phoenix. The winner will tangle with top-seeded Thatcher on Saturday with the time and location to be announced.
