2 wins from state title match, Pride faced with another rematch

Mountain Pointe High School varsity football coach Norris Vaughan talks to his team, cheerleaders and other program supporters following the Pride’s 49-14 win over Mesa Westwood last week on opening night of the Class 5A-I state championship playoffs. The win allows the Pride to host one final home game this season “ this Friday night at 7 at Karl Kiefer Stadium •“ against Chandler Basha. A win Friday would put the Pride in the state semifinals; semi and championship rounds are played at neutral sites.
