Posted: Friday, November 20, 2009 12:00 amMountain Pointe High School varsity football coach Norris Vaughan talks to his team, cheerleaders and other program supporters following the Pride’s 49-14 win over Mesa Westwood last week on opening night of the Class 5A-I state championship playoffs. The win allows the Pride to host one final home game this season “ this Friday night at 7 at Karl Kiefer Stadium •“ against Chandler Basha. A win Friday would put the Pride in the state semifinals; semi and championship rounds are played at neutral sites.
