Boys state soccer: Thunder thump Rincon

The Desert Vista boys soccer team easily advanced to the second round of the Division I state tournament with a shutout of fNo. 14 Rincon.
The No. 3 Thunder won 5-0 in Wednesday's first-round match and advance to Saturday's second round.
Third-seeded Desert Vista will host No. 6 Gilbert, which defeated Kofa 2-1, at 2 p.m.
Horizon Honors wasn't as fortunate in the Division III boys tournament as the 12th-seeded Eagles were ousted 6-1 by No. 5 Scottsdale Christian.
