The Desert Vista girls volleyball team continued its great start to the season with a three-set win over Mountain Pointe on Tuesday.

The Thunder won 25-22, 25-20 and 28-26 despite the fact that Pride led in all three games.

Desert Vista's Brooke Honeycutt had 15 kills, three block solos and three block assists, while Hailey Harward had 10 kills.
Kate McFarlane had 21 assists, two aces and 12 digs, while Lexi Glover added 16 digs and an ace.
The Pride was led by Christine Winkelman's nine kills, 18 assists from Chandler Hillman, three aces from Kendall Gray and eight digs from Codi Jacobsen and Hillman.

“We need to figure out what needs to be done to finish stronger,” Pride coach Fred Mann said.

The two rivals will meet again on Oct. 25 at Desert Vista for the annual Dig Pink contest.
