The sectionals are over and the state tournament gets underway mid-week.

In the boys Division I tournament, Mountain Pointe earned the 19th seed and travels to Oro Valley to take on No. 14 Ironwood Ridge at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The winner travels to No. 3 Red Mountain on Saturday.

Desert Vista earned the fifth seed and gets a first-round bye. The Thunder will host the winner of No. 12 Mesa Mountain View and No. 21 Rincon on Saturday at 7 p.m.

In the girls Division I tournament, the action starts Wednesday when No. 19 Mountain Pointe travels to No. 14 Boulder Creek. The tipoff is a rematch from last week's sectional first-round game won by Boulder Creek.

The winner advances to face No. 3 St. Mary's on Friday.

The Desert Vista girls are the sixth seed and host the winner of the matchup between No. 11 Valley Vista and No. 22 Cienega on Friday.
