Brock Jolly has upped the number of seniors for the 2007 Desert Vista football team that will play college football in 2008 to 11.

The kicker/punter who also handled kickoffs for the Thunder has signed with Southwest Baptist University, a Division II school in Bolivar, Missouri.

"He's part of that big crew that signed," said DV coach Dan Hinds. "He was just waiting to make his decision."

Jolly said Southwest Baptist coaches told him he had a good shot to play right away.

"It's relieving (that the process is over) and I'm really excited for next year," Jolly said. "I went down there on a visit and I loved it. It's a really good school, a private school. They have a good football program and I like the coaches a lot."

He said he hopes to be able to continue to punt and kick.

"I'm hoping, cross my fingers," Jolly said.
