The AIA released the pairings for the soccer postseason on Friday afternoon with four area teams finding their way into the second season.

In the Division I boys tournament, Desert Vista earned the ninth seed and will open with No. 8 Tolleson on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Alhambra High.

The winner most likely plays No. 1 Hamilton, which opens against No. 16 Mesa, in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Mountain Pointe boys snagged the 10th seed and will open against No. 7 Ironwood at Sandra Day O'Connor at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

A win for the Pride will pit them most likely No. 2 seed Brophy, which plays Basha in the first round, on Saturday.

In the DI girls tournament, the Pride snuck in as the 16th seed and will travel to No. 1 Pinnacle on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Thunder girls earned the No. 13 seed and will travel to No. 4 Xavier at 7 p.m. The two squads played in the DI championship game last year with Xavier coming away with the title.

Both Horizon Honor squads fell outside of the top 16 in the final power rankings and didn't qualify.
