The Desert Vista boys basketball team won the Las Vegas Prep Championship at Las Vegas High.
The Thunder came out of the Pool E in the 28-team tournament.
In the finals, the Thunder went 6-0 in the event and beat Liberty (Nev.) 45-42 after being tied at 23 at the half.
In the championship game, Danny Powell led the way with 11 points while Jeff Lowery added nine.
