After Spencer Thompson, front, finsihed his career at UC-Irvine he was selected No. 2 overall by the Portland Timbers in the MSL Supplemental Draft and his pro career began this month.
Mountain Pointe product Spencer Thompson, seen her playing for UC-Irvine, was a three-time All-Big West selection and finished with 25 career goals 17 assists.

As the Timber's first pick in the supplemental draft he was technically a 4th round pick overall. That makes it less surprising that he had to fight for a spot. Anyway, congrats to him on making the roster and hopefully he can work his way up to some playing time later in the season.
