Mountain Pointe graduate Marquese Wheaton is having an impressive senior year at Southern Mississippi (9-2).
In his second season after transferring from Phoenix College, Wheaton has 46 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for a loss, with three interceptions, seven passes broken up, 10 passes defended, and one fumble recovery. He also has three scores on the defensive side of the ball and has been named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.
