Desert Vista graduate Michael Proctor returns to Arizona on Thursday as a member of the Northern Colorado basketball team.

The Bears qualified for the NCAA Tournament after winning the Big Sky Tournament. Northern Colorado was given a 15th seed and takes on No. 2 San Diego State in the first round in Tucson at the McKale Center at 1:40 p.m. Thursday.

Proctor, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound junior, entered the game averaging 5.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in 17 minutes for the Bears (21-10) and he was named to the Big Sky all-tournament team.
