Keystone Montessori • 1025 E. Liberty Lane
Holding fast to the vision that children are the path to peace, Keystone Montessori in Ahwatukee strives to offer students a foundation of lifelong learning.
Functioning as a charter school from first grade and up, Keystone teaches the Montessori program to its 300 students up to ninth grade. The school also has a program from young children starting at 18 months old.
Since opening in 1995, the school offers Spanish, music and art programs for its elementary and adolescent program.
“They also go on class trips at the end of the year, which includes going out of the country for the adolescents,” said admissions coordinator Laura Hertzler.
Keystone aims to graduate students who are confident, global citizens with its environment of nurturing independence, creativity, confidence and tolerance while developing a sense of responsibility for self and community based on the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, according to Hertzler.
