Home of the Sharks, Kyrene de la Esperanza Elementary School seeks to provide a “positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement and inspires success in every student.”
The pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade school has more than 600 students currently enrolled and is one of the 12 schools within the Kyrene School District located in Ahwatukee Foothills.
Principal Cheryl Greene said the school’s mission and core values “serve as our anchor amidst the changing landscape of our school community and that of our greater society. They help us remain a ‘neighborhood school,’ not in terms of where our families live, but in a nostalgic way.”
