Regarding “A passion for teaching,” by Michelle Reese, Sunday, March 20, AFN: I was touched by the article and the dedicated teachers who are living in such uncertainty.

I am also worried about raising a generation of children who will be ill-prepared to achieve and be the leaders this country and world will need in the future.

It is unconscionable that the small tax increase the voters passed not too long ago to help education has been used instead (by our non-thinking, non-responsive to what their constituents want politicians) to pay down the state deficit!

Taxation without representation?

Keep that in mind at the polls!
