Although I agree that Sen. Nancy Barto has assisted rural Arizonans with some of her health care bills alleviating regulations for anesthetist certification and pharma administration, I cannot overlook her self-proclaimed public policy advocacy for fewer Federal mining regulations and lower business taxes. She is also a prolific Capitol voice continually propelling regulation on female body parts and even voted to cut Medicaid reimbursements, nearly crushing rural hospitals. Therefore, I look at the Legislator of the Year award from the Arizona Rural Health Association as just another pandering distinction to another legislator who does not represent me in any way.
