Dear Editor:
Everyone in District 6, which includes Ahwatukee Foothills, should thank Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio and the Ahwatukee Foothills News for bringing to our attention the misinformation our Legislature is trying to propagate in its effort to raise our taxes and rates. It seems that DiCiccio is the only one looking out for the citizens.
Please either read his column in the Feb. 9 edition of Ahwatukee Foothills News ("Water and tax hikes: The crisis myth") or call his office at (602) 262-7491 to have them send the details to you. Then call the members of the Senate Government Reform Committee to let them know we're not going to put up with this deception.
Members of the Senate Government Reform Committee are:
Chairman Sen. Frank Antenori, (602) 926-5683
Vice chairman Sen. Andy Biggs, (602) 926-4371
Sen. Lori Klein, (602) 926-5284
Sen. Ron Gould, (602) 926-4138
Sen. Steve Smith, (602) 926-5685
Sen. Steve Gallardo, (602) 926-5830
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, (602) 926-5058
If we don't want our water rates to go up and our property taxes increased based on trickery, it's up to us to let our legislative representatives know they will pay a price at the polls.
Maryann Moody
