I, for one, appreciate the guest commentaries that the AFN has published written by Ahwatukee Foothills resident Don Kennedy. He has a love for our country and a good understanding of history and of our Constitution. When we forget history and our Constitution, we lose our liberties. Some people can see it happening before others, and I believe Mr. Kennedy is one of those precious visionary individuals. He loves our country. How can he not speak up?
Nikita Khrushchev once said: “We can’t expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism.”
Also, It seems odd that one of the opinion writers who is ridiculing Mr. Kennedy and cheering Mr. Kennedy (and others of like mind) while being thrown to the lions, is enjoying the right of free speech under our Constitution, when Mr. Kennedy would afford that writer his Constitutional right to free speech. Ridiculing one’s opposition is one of Saul Alinsky’s tactics in his “Rules for Radicals,” as he states: “Ridicule is one of man’s most potent weapons.”
Ridiculing Mr. Kennedy will probably not work, because he and others have become aware of Saul Alinsky and his radical rules and views.
