On March 23, the city of Phoenix participated in the nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom. Hundreds of individuals showed in protest of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate requiring all employer health care plans to provide free contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortion-inducing drugs. Freedom of religion falls under our First Amendment rights.
The idea that any employer would be forced to pay for something that goes against his moral objections is not only reprehensible but goes against the very fiber of this country. Never, under any other president have our constitutional rights been so in jeopardy.
This is an incredible election cycle. With the two-year anniversary of Obamacare behind us, it is crucial we fight to defeat the president.
I would personally like to thank two of Arizona’s congressional candidates for attending. Matt Salmon and U.S. Rep. David Schweikert were both in attendance that day. I cannot express deeply enough how encouraging it was to see both of these gentleman there. It isn’t every day we have politicians walking the walk and talking the talk.
