Many thanks for publishing Jon Beydler's excellent opinion piece on the Occupy Wall Street protest ("‘Occupy' movement harkens back to anti-war protests of the 1960s," AFN, Dec. 7).
When the protests began to expand around the world, it brought to my mind those days of Vietnam protests. As an early baby boomer, I initially opposed them but eventually saw the point they were making.
I didn't always agree with tactics, but those patriots who dumped tea into Boston Harbor were violating the law as well. I can just hear the British saying, "What about the law is it that they don't understand?"
Occupy Wall Street has an excellent point. Greed on the part of the elite in this country is affecting us all.
