Dear Editor:
I have never felt more proud to be part of the business community in Ahwatukee. Recently, The BAR Fitness and Nextdoor Realty hosted an Oktoberfest community fundraiser to help out an Ahwatukee family battling childhood cancer. With the generous support of Rock Bottom Brewery, Heidi's Events and Catering and South Mountain Cycles, we were able to put together a fun and extremely successful event. In fact, the response of the community was nothing short of amazing, and in two hours, we raised $13,000. The kindness and compassion of Ahwatukee residents and businesses has left me speechless. I feel extremely fortunate to be a business owner in Ahwatukee and to work with such great people every day.
