Complaining about Congress is practically a national pastime, so I know I won’t be breaking new ground here. But recently, Congress introduced an amendment that would end production of the F-35B. Their solution: For us to go back to the dangerously outdated F-18. This makes no sense to me. We have invested way too much into our next generation F-35’s to stop now. They will carry our military for decades to come. Thankfully, enough Congressmen voted the amendment down, but it served as another reminder of the scary backward thinking from some leaders in Washington.
