Here's an amusing statistic for you: A recent survey shows that 47 percent of the population is for wealth redistribution.
Likewise, 2009 data shows that 47 percent of the population paid no federal income taxes.
You have to suspect a correlation.
Perhaps the cure is to set the power of your vote proportionate to the taxes you pay. Otherwise, when that 47 percent crosses over to 51 percent, the United States will be dead.
Perhaps that is why China is already shedding U.S. debt instruments.
