Congress is back in session and while no one expects it to take action on the really important matters before the November election, there is one thing they might do that could impact jobs in the U.S.

If they decide that all the new small businesses that have also become online retailers must adhere to submitting sales tax, many of those small businesses could not survive the added burden of related costs. If Congress acted sensibly and provided a large tax exemption for small online retailers, they could maintain or grow.

Congress usually likes to impose new taxes and regulations when they can. We all need to contact our congressmen and make sure they aren’t looking for a new revenue source that will cost local economies a lot of jobs.
