Republican Eric Cantor, House majority leader, would not approve emergency funding to tornado devastated Joplin, Mo., unless an equal amount of funding was cut from another federal program.

They cut a million dollars from a green energy program to equal the million sent to Joplin.

Unbelievable, oil companies get billions in subsidies, but green energy gets cut.

Cantor should be ashamed of himself. He used the people in a dire emergency as pawns, and then had the chutzpah to boast about how proud he was to send the money to help them.

I hope the people in this country wake up and understand that the Republican-dominated House of Representatives is working hard to destroy the middle class as they favor the businesses that are "too big to fail."
