I must disagree with Mr. Robert O’Meara, “A shadow in the hallway near the Lincoln Bedroom,” AFN, Jan. 30, when he says that Bill Clinton has no other interests in life outside politics. His interests range far and wide.
Clinton set up the William J. Clinton Foundation in 1997, which works on diverse things such as combating climate change, helping small businesses, helping to rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake that happened there, fighting AIDS, etc. He has worked on many diplomatic missions for the UN. Of course, he is also still active in politics. He is not “stuck somewhere in the 1990s,” he is taking what action he can to help build a better world for now and the future.
Mr. O’Meara is entitled to his opinion, though he should get his facts straight.
