Our immigration system is broken, and that’s bad for our country and our economy. As the Senate debates the bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform recently introduced, I hope that Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake will continue to support this important legislation.

When we bring undocumented workers out of the shadows and allow them to join the legal, regulated workforce, employers who would otherwise game the system can no longer cheat workers on wages or working conditions. When everyone has a fair shot and plays by the same rules, all workers can expect their wages to rise. This will mean more dollars in the economy and more jobs — to the tune of an additional $23.1 billion for Arizona and 3,400 new jobs annually. Arizona Fair Share stands in support of comprehensive immigration reform with McCain and Flake.
