The holiday season is fast approaching and in Ahwatukee, the annual Festival of Lights is a wonderful start to it. It would be even better if the entertainment at the festival was more than just one dance studio having its members perform. How about giving others in the community an opportunity to show their different talents? I understand that the person who is head of the entertainment committee is a volunteer and just happens to own the said dance studio, but I don’t believe that dance should be the only representation of the community. I am sure that if there was a talent show, all sorts of musicians, magicians, and yes dancers, would be present.

Who knows, even a time slot for animals and their talents! With a more diverse selection of entertainment, I believe more people would attend and then everyone benefits. Ahwatukee is a wonderful community and has so much more to celebrate during this festival than just one dance program.
