I read the guest commentary that you published “Gullible public believes big lies” (AFN, Jan. 17) and was particularly interested in the section of it where the author rebutted the claim of “death panels” by referring to a section of the ACA that addresses such things.

Well, the ACA says a lot of things. An employer mandate to provide health insurance was to begin on Oct. 1, but did not happen. The deadline for individual sign-ups was Dec. 15, but was delayed. The law says nothing about subsidies for congressional staffs, but they are getting them. This law says whatever Obama wants it to say. If he wants to create “death panels” what is going to stop him?
