Dear Editor:

The Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center would like to thank you, the community, for a tremendous turnout at the Third Annual Tukee Fest Rockin' in the Park, Sept. 24-25.

This event was made possible by the following Community Center sponsors: ACE Hardware and Rental (48th Street and Warner), Ahwatukee Foothills News, Ahwatukee Golf Properties, Arizona Exterminating, Bella Vista Dental, Desert Landscaping Professionals, Scott Roofing, Select Painting, State Farm - Kevin McGraw and Tree Pros. The following businesses were event sponsors: AZTEK Satellite/Direct TV, Brewers Air Conditioning and Heating, Grace Inn of Ahwatukee, The Bagnall Company and Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek, PLC, Attorneys at Law.

Volunteers are also a big part of this successful event. Thanks to Mountain Pointe High School Boys golf team for volunteering in the concession stand; Karen Corona, C.P.A. and her group made sure IDs were checked and bands were issued for beer and wine consumption; Ken Stuk for helping set up; Drew Manusharow for filling spots in a variety of areas; Eddy Corona, Outdoor Experience 4 All, for making sure wrist bands were on those consuming beer and wine, Eric Upshaw for helping during the event and tear down and Kristen Carter for taking pictures throughout the Tukee Fest.

Kudos to the Army for getting the kids to do push-ups!

The entire staff of the Ahwatukee Board of Management and the Ahwatukee Community Swim & Tennis Center worked tirelessly to bring this event together so that families and friends could have an enjoyable two days out, close to home.

See you next September at the Fourth Annual Tukee Fest Rockin' in the Park!!
