Dear Editor:
The juxtaposition of Jon Beydler's piece on legalizing marijuana ("It's time to legalize, at the very least, marijuana," AFN, Aug. 4) and Richard Chojnowski's paranoid fanatical letter ("Perhaps Griffin would be happier living somewhere else," AFN, Aug. 4) regarding "communists, Marxists and Maoists" couldn't be more striking.
Although on different subjects, the two writings starkly illustrate the choice this state has. Either we adopt policies and laws which truly address issues in an intelligent manner, or we fall into a pit of paranoid hatred and limit the people to want to live here to the delusional, ignorant, paranoid and emotionally unstable.
It's our choice - I choose Mr. Beydler's approach.
