In response to the Guest Commentary by Robert O’Meara (“A shadow in the hallway near the Lincoln Bedroom,” AFN, Jan. 30), even a cursory search of Wikipedia reveals that President Bill Clinton has been quite busy since his time in office. While I am not his biggest fan, one needs to look beyond partisanship and respect peoples’ accomplishments.

In addition to writing two books, Clinton worked with former President George H.W. Bush to establish relief funds for the 2005 tsunami and for Hurricane Katrina. He also created a foundation to address global public health issues, poverty and ethnic conflict. Some believe that Clinton’s extensive campaigning helped President Obama win the 2012 election. Hardly a man relegated to the shadows of the Lincoln Bedroom.
